Spectral by Production Type

Spectral was Production Type's bid for a screen-grade book serif. It solves an old problem with new constraints: how to make a text serif that reads as cleanly at 13px on a low-density display as it does at 11pt on paper. The answer is in the bones: generous x-height, even color, restrained contrast. Use it for paragraphs longer than three sentences. It earns its keep below the fold.
